Interesting perspective on ABA therapy

During a recent conversation with our son, who has an autistic child.  He informed me that our grandson’s current ABA therapist did not believe a particular rigorous program I have been suggesting would be to his best interest.  Then I see this article…  http://www.thinkinclusive.us/on-aba-and-rethinking-effective-behavioral-interventions/ by Dusty Jones, that seems to imply the same thing.

I certainly have not seen the severe methods he describes, but… I don’t doubt he has.  People have different ideas on what is considered “beneficial.”

The article is a bit long, but worth considering, and well worth the read.
